Commercial radio and Marine
In addition to the marine channels, the IC-M85E can also exchange information on the commercial radio channels between 136 and 174 MHz. There are over 100 programmable corporate radio channels (with CTCSS frequencies and DTCS codes) available.

Compact but powerful
Since communication is the be-all and end-all of the radio, the IC-M85E with the audio amplifier has 700mW of audio output to ensure perfect communication, even though the housing is very compact.

New emergency-relevant functions
By activating all three functions (MOB (man overboard), man-down and lone worker) the handheld radio emits an alarm tone in the event of an emergency. The alarm tone always sounds from the loudspeakers of the handheld radio, even if a loudspeaker microphone is connected.

Easy change between marine and professional radio channels
The multifunction button on the device lets you comfortably change between the PMR and marine channel groups. The lock function is switched on and off by holding the button down.

IP67 standard
The IC-M85E is dustproof according to the IP67 protection class and can be immersed 1m deep for up to 30 minutes.

Also covers the PMR range 136-174 MHz
In addition to the VHF marine channels, the IC-M85E can also communicate on the PMR channels between 136 and 174 MHz *. It also has 100 programmable PMR channels on which CTCSS frequencies and DTCS codes can also be used.
